Dude, it's gotta stop. We're talking about all these breathless hosannas and mass genuflections in the general direction of Queens of the Stone Age. All props and respect to the Queens, but there are a heap of equally worthy bands out there mining similar ''stoner rock'' territory. To wit: Fu Manchu, Monster Magnet, Dozer -- and the subject of this week's L2T rave, NEBULA, whose new CD, ATOMIC RITUAL (Liquor and Poker), is a tour de force of lowbrow mind expansion. Featuring two ex-members of Fu Manchu (guitarist-singer Eddie Glass and drummer Ruben Romano), Nebula dress up their songs of cosmic claptrap (''Everything is beautiful/And nothing hurts'') with broad swaths of psychedelic guitar and gut-punching bass. If you're jonesing for a fix of heavy rock at its least pretentious, you can't do much better than this. ''Hey, hey/Got to seize the day,'' sings Glass by way of manifesto on ''Carpe Diem.'' Don't worry, fellas -- we've got your backs.
