Q In ''Lost in Translation'', Bob (Bill Murray) makes a hilarious attempt at ''conversation'' with an old Japanese man in a hospital waiting room. What's the guy saying?
A ''How many years have you been in Japan?'' the ojii-san asks in Japanese, adding ''Mmmm, I don't really speak English.'' When Murray doesn't get it, the gent (Akira Motomura) opts for volume: ''Ja-pan!'' he shouts. ''How many years?!'' Murray repeats the Japanese, cracking the man up. Murray making someone laugh? That we understand.
