Or: Why Harrison Ford Needs to Do Another Indiana Jones Movie, Exhibit H. Buddied up with the peach-fuzzy Hartnett in a thuddingly generic action comedy, Ford couldn't seem more geriatric. The LAPD partners' intergenerational conflicts (Ford loves cheeseburgers, Hartnett prefers bean sprouts!) feel almost as predictable as the script's by-the-book cop-conspiracy plot. The criminally squandered supporting cast spans everyone from Academy-approved thespians Martin Landau and Lena Olin to moonlighting crooners Gladys Knight and Frank Sinatra Jr. And if you ever wondered what Lou Diamond Phillips looks like in drag, here's your answer. EXTRAS Not shockingly, the notoriously terse Ford is nowhere to be heard on the commentary track, which includes sleepy-sounding cowriter-director Ron Shelton informing us that the excised R-rated version of Ford's sex scene with Olin is superior. So where the hell is it?
