Linked to the investigation into who shot at 50 Cent and his posse last month in a Jersey City hotel parking lot is another rapper, and this time it's not rival Ja Rule. It's Lil' Kim, who is romantically linked to ex-convict Damian ''World'' Hardy, the New York Daily News reports. Hardy is a subject of a Jersey City police probe into the incident, law enforcement sources tell the Daily News.
The paper's sources say that police have not questioned Hardy, who is staying at the rap diva's home in New Jersey's Bergen County, but they have shown his picture to witnesses. Hardy's rap sheet includes time served for shooting at narcotics officers and tampering with a witness, the Daily News reports.
Jersey City police have also sought 50 Cent, hoping the rapper would come in to the precinct to answer questions about the Sept. 10 shooting, in which 10 bullet casings from two guns were found, suggesting an exchange of gunfire, though no one was hurt. 50, who just bought Mike Tyson's Connecticut mansion, has reportedly been traveling overseas and has not talked to police. Thanks to a hotel security camera, ''we have some photographs, and we are trying to get people who were actually there to identify the people in the photographs," Jersey City police Capt. Peter Nalbach told the Daily News. ''We believe 50 Cent was present, and we still want to talk to him.'' At press time, neither Lil' Kim's manager nor Capt. Nalbach had returned EW.com's calls seeking comment.
