The 'Holes' Truth

DVD geeks were diggin' the lighthearted debuts this week, especially Disney's Holes -- based on Louis Sachar's novel and starring tween sensation Shia LaBeouf -- which burrowed into the top sales spot. But Eddie Murphy had the last laugh on VHS, where his latest romp, Daddy Day Care, frolicked above the Mouse House's earthy flick. And while Christopher Guest's folk satire, A Mighty Wind, blew buyers away, renters remained unmoved by the maelstrom (the tape sat at No. 22) -- clearly, they still couldn't get enough therapy from the Adam Sandler-Jack Nicholson ragefest, Anger Management.
