Nicole and Tom's dud, plus other movie let-downs

Every week, one of Entertainment Weekly's movie critics answers questions from readers. Read this week's answers here.

What film were you most disappointed by? -- Tom
There's a lot of competition! Steven Spielberg, considering his genius, has had his share of spectacular clunkers (''Hook,'' ''Amistad''), and Scorsese's ''Gangs of New York'' was, to me, stultifying in the extreme. Still, to this Stanley Kubrick believer, the granddaddy of all disappointments has to be ''Eyes Wide Shut.'' From the staggering fakery of the sets to the fact that Tom Cruise makes a point, the day after the orgy, of returning his costume (was he worried they'd charge him extra?), the movie, sadly, ended Kubrick's oeuvre on a note of preposterousness that suggested Ed Wood with ''ideas'' and a budget.

What movie best deserves a sequel? -- Felipe
Hands down, ''My Dinner With Andre.'' Just imagine: Wallace Shawn and Andre Gregory, older and grayer but as sprightly as ever, return to that same restaurant to discuss everything they've learned about life in the 22 years since.
