I Won't Be Back

''There will be no time for movies or anything else,'' Arnold Schwarzenegger said after being elected California's governor Oct. 7. Thus, until his term is up, his last part will be as a Turkish prince in the upcoming Around the World in 80 Days. (He's also currently cameoing in The Rundown.) ''I don't think there's anyone quite the icon Arnold is,'' says friend and Predator producer John Davis. A survey of projects shows the void he's leaving:

TERMINATOR 4 Producers are proceeding on a top secret script sans Arnold; they deny rumors that The Rock will step in.

BIG SIR The lead in this comedy has been offered to Will Smith.

WESTWORLD A remake of Michael Crichton's 1973 sci-fi Western remains in development, with Schwarzenegger, who was to star and produce, no longer attached.

KING CONAN, TRUE LIES 2, TOTAL RECALL 2 Forget all these sequels...for now.

THE CRUSADE ''It will get done no matter what,'' Schwarzenegger told EW in 2002 of the long-gestating period epic. ''I will be maybe 105 years old, and I'll have to be strapped to the horse, but I see it.''
