In the court of sequels, Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde gets a misdemeanor. Reese Witherspoon's Elle Woods is still charming in her indefatigable pinkness, but she plays the same bubbly-glamour-gal game here as she did in 2001's ''Legally Blonde,'' swapping Harvard Law stuck-ups for Capitol Hill stiffs. Even the requisite ''Aha!'' moment -- Elle saves the day with beauty smarts -- unfolds almost exactly as it did first time around.

EXTRAS Elle-aholics will eat up the 22-minute ''Blonde Ambition'' behind-the-scenes doc, in which director Charles Herman-Wurmfeld curiously evokes Martin Luther King. But ''special'' features that are this stingy with Jennifer Coolidge footage (she makes just one quick appearance in the Delta Nu quiz) are out of order. Case closed.
