Mandy Moore beau Andy Roddick plans reality show. ''The Tour'' would follow him along the pro tennis circuit next year

Andy Roddick, the top-ranked tennis player in the world, is trying to find a net. A TV network, that is, to air his proposed reality series, ''The Tour.'' Produced by Craig H. Shepherd (''Queer Eye for the Straight Guy,'') ''The Tour'' would follow the U.S. Open winner and boyfriend of Mandy Moore as he plays the pro circuit from May to September of next year.

I am totally amped for this show,'' the 21-year-old Roddick said in a statement on Tuesday. ''I'm just this guy who happens to play tennis, but my life has become this circus. It's a wild ride, and I've given 'The Tour' producers total access... except my bedroom -- sorry, I have to draw the line somewhere!''

For her part, pop star/actress Moore has expressed similar sentiments, telling the Associated Press last month that she herself would not want to be the subject of a celebrity reality series. ''My personal life is my personal life, and it's behind closed doors,'' the 19-year-old said. ''I like watching other people, though,'' she said, citing Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey of MTV's ''Newlyweds.''

Shepherd will pitch ''The Tour'' to networks next week, AP reports. TV execs who want to see how Roddick handles the pressure of being filmed in potentially embarrassing situations off the court can watch him host ''Saturday Night Live'' this weekend.
