The Deal Report

MOVIES Orlando Bloom will follow his epically heroic turns in ''The Lord of the Rings'' and ''Troy'' by reteaming with his ''Black Hawk Down'' director, Ridley Scott, for the heroically epic ''Kingdom of Heaven.'' Bloom will play a 12th-century peasant who becomes a knight, woos a princess, and, naturally, saves a kingdom.... En garde! Columbia is going ahead with a sequel to 1998's ''The Mask of Zorro,'' which starred Antonio Banderas, Anthony Hopkins, and a then-unknown Catherine Zeta-Jones, with hopes that the three will reprise their roles. Ditto director Martin Campbell (''Beyond Borders'').... Meanwhile, Zeta-Jones' ''Chicago'' castmate Queen Latifah will try on the trousers of dandy Englishman Alec Guinness in a remake of the 1950 comedy ''Last Holiday,'' about a man who spends his dying days at a fancy resort. We suspect Latifah's character won't be a man. Or English. Or a dandy.

TELEVISION Dwight D. Eisenhower is set to be the subject of an A&E telefilm next spring, with Tom Selleck playing Ike.... Coming next summer: Bravo's 10-episode catfight, er, catwalk reality series, ''Project Runway,'' with judging by Heidi Klum, from ''Project Greenlight'' producers Miramax TV.... Dean Cain (''Lois & Clark'') will play ''The Perfect Husband'' -- and alleged murderer of Laci -- Scott Peterson for the USA Network.... After duping ''Monday Night Football'' audiences, obscure-reference master Dennis Miller looks to confound CNBC's smarty-pants viewers with a talk show in January.... Aight, hear me now, geezers: Dat HBO crew has greenlit a second season of ''Da Ali G Show,'' wiv Ali G, da bestest bruvva on da telly. Check it.
