'Hulk' Hysteria

Ripping out of his geeky scientific shell, the not-so-jolly green giant burst through the video charts, hurling Ang Lee's critically pounded box office disappointment The Hulk to the No. 1 spot in sales and rentals. On a smaller scale, Niki Caro's Whale Rider, the surprise theatrical hit about a Maori girl coming of age, made a splash with videophiles at Nos. 13 and 20, respectively. And buyers just couldn't refuse The Sopranos, who were still livin' large on DVD with their fourth-season debut. Bada-bing!
