Prince, George Harrison make Rock Hall of Fame. Jackson Browne and ZZ Top also make the list

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is about to get a whole lot funkier. The foundation announced that Prince would be among its 2004 inductees, joining other big-name acts such as Jackson Browne, ZZ Top, and the late George Harrison.

The official induction ceremony on March 15th will also honor the 50's R&B vocal group The Dells, Detroit rocker Bob Seger, and British jazz fusion group Traffic. Nominees become eligible 25 years after their first record. An honoree for the Lifetime Achievement Award in the Non-Performer category is expected to be announced shortly.

While the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum is located in Cleveland, Ohio, Prince and pals won't have to make a trip to Drew Carey country. The ceremony will take place at the Waldorf Astoria hotel in New York City.
