Barely There

A backstage peek into the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.

At the ninth annual Victoria's Secret Fashion Show (which aired Nov. 19 on CBS), winged supermodels once again made the world safe for rhinestone thongs.

Nov. 12: Victoria's Secret Manhattan headquarters

3:45 P.M. Frenzied seamstresses and publicists flutter about, but Gisele Bundchen is a sea of calm: ''Sometimes I worry about the wings. Not to, like, hurt anyone with them,'' she says.

4:20 P.M. Tyra Banks arrives and shares a Victoria's secret: ''My best friend is a bit of fabric covering my booty. Y'all will never see my booty because there's a couple dimples back there.''

Nov. 13: Backstage at the Lexington Avenue Armory. (Tickets for the red-hot show went for at least $12,500 at auction.)

6 P.M. Naomi Campbell holds court. Minions coo over her bejeweled bandage, covering a porcupine-quill-induced wound on her middle finger. (Don't ask.)

7:20 P.M. Heidi Klum discusses a hazard of the trade: ''My feet are very slim, so I have to get double-stick tape, otherwise I slide right through [my shoes].''

8 P.M. Showtime! After a flurry of air kisses and lip-gloss reapplication, the girls are set to dazzle the likes of Tommy Lee, Pharrell Williams, and Candace Bushnell.
