Sean Paul ranks among 2003's top breakouts

At summer's peak, it seemed like Paul's hip-grinding dancehall hits -- ''Gimme the Light,'' ''Get Busy,'' and ''Like Glue'' -- came installed in every SUV from Manhattan to Mendocino. And if selling more than 2 million copies of his second disc, ''Dutty Rock,'' wasn't enough, Paul's ragga rhymes brought Jamaican swagger to some of the year's biggest R&B/rap hits, like Beyoncé's ''Baby Boy'' and Busta Rhymes' ''Make It Clap (Remix).'' All of which fueled a Kingston-to-Brooklyn crossover not seen since the days of Bob Marley.
