Details Release Date: Sep 16, 2003; Lead Performance: Mr. Airplane Man

Mr. Airplane Man's previous two CDs devoted way too much effort to half-baked bluesiness (perhaps to justify a band name inspired by a Howlin' Wolf song). On DJ, drummer Tara McManus and guitarist-singer Margaret Garrett let their Delta jones fade into the background as they cheekily update girl-group moxie and garage attitude. Best of all, the ballads summon days-gone-by innocence without sounding overly nostalgic.
