At last, after a four-year engagement, Greg Focker (Ben Stiller) and Pam Byrnes (Teri Polo) can finally get married. He met her parents in 2000's ''Meet the Parents,'' and now, it's finally her family's turn to ''Meet the Fockers.'' According to Variety, Universal is at last ready to roll cameras on the hit comedy's sequel, now that Dustin Hoffman has been cast as Greg's father.

''Meet the Fockers'' will reunite much of the team behind the original movie, including director Jay Roach and co-screenwriter Jim Herzfeld and costars Blythe Danner (as Pam's mom) and Robert De Niro, who played Pam's CIA agent father in ''Parents'' and gave his would-be son-in-law the third degree and then some. The film will also mark a reunion for Hoffman and De Niro, who've appeared together before in ''Sleepers'' and ''Wag the Dog.'' Shooting begins at the end of March, with an eye toward a Dec. 22 release.

According to Variety, it was coming up with a workable script, not casting Greg's parents, that was the main ''Focker'' blocker. Early reports had Stiller's real-life parents, Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara, in the roles. At this writing, there's still no word on who'll play Mother Focker, but at last week's premiere of his current hit ''Along Came Polly,'' Stiller told USA Today that his dream was to cast Barbra Streisand. Whaddaya say, Babs? Don't rain on Ben's parade.
