Victoria Gotti kicked off her tenure as executive editor of the newly glossified supermarket tabloid The Star by landing a coveted ''exclusive,'' the first interview with the post-Affleck Jennifer Lopez -- only J. Lo says it ain't so. ''I am extremely broken-hearted. I put enormous effort into my relationship with Ben,'' Gotti says Lopez told her. ''In the end, I realized I needed to put my personal and professional life back together.''
Lopez's rep issued a statement denying that the interview ever took place. ''Ms. Lopez has not and will not talk to the press,'' the publicist said. But the Star's spokesman issued a counterstatement, saying the magazine stands behind its story ''100 percent.'' Maybe next week, we'll see the Star's exclusive Ben Affleck interview.
