Accepting his Grammy for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance, Timberlake delivered a CBS-mandated apology for exposing Janet Jackson at the Super Bowl, and later returned to the stage to expose his now-undeniable talent. Not only did he ably play keyboards on an earthy version of his single ''Senorita,'' but he successfully pitted his heretofore unheard scat-singing abilities against jazz trumpet master Arturo Sandoval's improvisations. Sorry, Britney -- it really was the best night of his life.
