On Friday, Janet Jackson's right breast made its first public appearance in nearly two weeks, this time fully covered. Jackson was the honoree at a fundraising banquet held at the Beverly Hills Hotel by Behind the Bench, an association of NBA players' wives. A spokesman for the group told the Associated Press that the singer was being honored for her humanitarian and charitable work, and that there had been no consideration of disinviting her after her Super Bowl ''costume reveal.'' ''She has done a wonderful job giving back to communities across America. That fact has not changed,'' spokesman Vince McCaskill told AP. ''She was on board with this seven months ago. We never even considered her not being here.''

Jackson also appeared at Sunday's NBA All-Star Game in Los Angeles, this time as an audience member. According to AP, she sat quietly in her seat, wearing a suede jacket over a T-shirt and holding a bouquet of roses, leaving the job of providing a sexy, barely-dressed halftime show to Beyoncé. The younger diva, who sang Donna Summer's heavy-breathing ''Love to Love You Baby'' and wore a barely-there halter top, didn't suffer any ''wardrobe malfunctions,'' but basic-cabler TNT didn't take any chances and imposed a seven-second tape delay during the game.
