In case you needed any more proof of Angelina Jolie's athletic prowess, besides her two turns as Lara Croft, just wait 'til you see her run during the Olympics. Organizers of this summer's games announced Tuesday that Jolie will be a torchbearer during one of the final legs of the relay toward the competition site in Athens. Returning to Greece, where she shot much of last year's ''Tomb Raider'' sequel, the 28-year-old actress will run several hundred yards with the flame on Aug. 12, the day before the Olympic cauldron is lit during the opening ceremonies.
Jolie, whose thriller ''Taking Lives'' opens March 19, sees her run as part of her duties as a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations High Commission for Refugees. ''I would consider it an honor to run with the Olympic torch as a gesture of hope for refugees and to express my active support for sport and world peace,'' she said in a statement.
