What are your favorite shows that have been canceled prematurely due to low ratings? (Mine has always been ''My So-Called Life.'') -- Stephanie Lee
I heartily (and heart-brokenly) agree with you about ''Life,'' the one-season Claire Danes classic. Other series I think died too soon: the achingly funny ''Freaks and Geeks'' (1999); Profit (Remember Adrian Pasdar as the ruthless businessman who slept naked in a cardboard box? Four episodes on Fox in 1996? Anyone?); and Dabney Coleman's great, mean media-spoof sitcom, ''Buffalo Bill'' (1983-84).
