Awaiting news on a friend who has overdosed, two troubled teens spend hours killing time in the ER: Actress-turned-playwright Tristine Skyler (Blair Witch 2) uses this dark situation to shed light on angst in the big city. Laura Breckenridge and Brendan Sexton III shine as kids on the edge, and the presence of supporting family members adds some enlightenment, but the production is overshadowed by grandstanding speeches and overdramatic silences. It's an insightful first effort, but plays more like an after-school special than a night at the theater. (TC)
