FIGHT NIGHT 2004 (EA Sports; PS2, Xbox; Teen)
How could we not be excited about an ultrarealistic punchfest that features 32 licensed boxers, including Muhammad Ali? Or a new system dubbed ''total punch control'' that means players no longer button-mash to gain a KO? (Instead, you sweep the right control stick left or right in a set rhythm to land punches.) But even if the new controls are innovative, the learning curve is too steep and the system feels somewhat unnatural. Fight Night is certainly a contender, but it's not the undisputed champ it could have been.
