The Rosenbergs play power-pop with a lot more hook appeal than heart. Lead writer David Fagin clearly knows how to match three chords to a melody that clicks, but his vocals can sound self-conscious and mannered, and his lyrics can seem smug (''Crockett & Tubbs''). While catchy songs are nothing to sneer at, the Rosenbergs' music ends up too cute by half.
