The best TV shows based on films, and vice versa
What do you think is the best big-screen adaptation of a TV series and vice versa? -- Terry Shimmins
Harrison Ford did David Janssen's classic TV suspenser ''The Fugitive'' proud in 1993; I also liked Brian De Palma's supersize ''The Untouchables'' in '87. As for movie-to-TV morphs, it's no contest: The WB's ''Buffy the Vampire Slayer'' gloriously transcended the '92 cinema schlock starring Kristy Swanson; Joss Whedon got to redeem his slaughtered film script via TV.
