In David Mamet's cryptic political thriller, Val Kilmer, his face as blank as an automaton's, plays an agent who tries to locate the President's daughter. Lots of Mamet's terse look-ma-no-feelings dialogue, but the tail of his imagination too often wags the dog of plausibility.
