Junior exec Emma Corrigan boards a plane to London that hits a nasty patch of turbulence. Convinced she's going to die, she spills all her secrets (fibbing on her resume, thinking her boyfriend has the sexual vibe of a Ken doll, killing her parents' goldfish, etc.) to the man beside her. The guy -- who is, naturally, a mysterious hottie -- ends up being the American head of her corporation, in town to check up on his Brit employees. Though the breezy plot rambles to its happily-ever-after, flighty Emma isn't nearly as entertaining as the heroine of Kinsella's beloved Shopaholic series. Perhaps we should wait for the movie: Paramount has already snapped up the rights as a vehicle for Kate Hudson.
