Whitney Houston has checked out of an Atlanta rehab hospital after just five days, according to the New York Daily News. Her spokesperson, Nancy Seltzer, told the Associated Press that Houston is continuing treatment outside the hospital. But patients usually stay in rehab centers for at least 10 days, with most stays lasting 28 days, according to USA Today.
Meanwhile, Houston's husband, Bobby Brown, was sentenced to 90 days in jail on Wednesday in Dedham, Mass., for failing to pay child support, according to Reuters. Brown, whose lawyer told the court he can't pay because he's unemployed, owes more than $60,000 to an ex-girlfriend, Kim Ward, with whom he fathered two children, according to Reuters. Brown, who cried at the hearing, had been released from a separate jail sentence in Georgia to face the child-support charges. According to MTV News, he told reporters earlier this week: ''This is the last time you'll see me coming out of [jail] or going in.''
