Bobby Brown is a free man again, and it only cost him $63,500. Brown was freed from county jail in Dedham, Mass., after coughing up that amount in overdue child support, according to the Associated Press. Brown had spent a single day in jail there, following a 60-day sentence in Georgia for violating probation on an earlier drunk driving charge. His lawyer had told a judge on Wednesday that Brown couldn't pay ex-girlfriend Kim Ward because he's unemployed.
Brown still faces battery charges stemming from allegations that he slapped his wife, Whitney Houston; he's due in court May 5 in Georgia on those charges, according to AP. Houston, meanwhile, recently left a substance-abuse rehab program after only five days of treatment. So the couple will presumably have a joyful reunion very soon.
