WARNING! SPOILER AHEAD! IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW WHO THE ''BACHELOR'' MOLE IS, DON'T READ ANY FURTHER!
''The Bachelor'''s new twist this year -- the addition of a mole among the contestants -- is turning fans into amateur (but apparently successful) detectives. The episode revealed that the mole spying for this season's bachelor, New York Giants backup quarterback Jesse Palmer, is married to his best friend, a clue that (barring deliberate misdirection by ABC) may have been over-revealing. One more warning: Here comes the spoiler.
Contestant Jenny S., it develops, was a swimmer at Palmer's alma mater, the University of Florida. Not only that, but EW.com has confirmed that she is married to one Nicholas Schiralli, who was reportedly Palmer's college teammate and roommate.
Though an ABC spokesperson said that viewers will find out the identity of the mole next week, a little camera trickery may have been trying to throw viewers off the track. During the telecast, a blurred image of the mole showed what appeared to be a woman with short, dark hair wearing a strapless black dress. Jenny S. has long blond hair and was wearing a black dress, but with straps. Pretty sneaky, ABC.
Nonetheless, the network added the claim that the early revelation had been planned from the beginning. In the meantime, many fans are all too convinced that they've already dug the mole out of her hole.
