Debra Messing's house has been graced by a visit from the stork. Her publicist announced that Messing gave birth to a boy on Wednesday night in Los Angeles. The 5-pound, 14-ounce infant, whose name has not been released, is the first child for the 35-year-old ''Will & Grace'' star and her husband of four years, 36-year-old actor and screenwriter Daniel Zelman.
Messing's pregnancy had been a demanding one, leading her doctor to order her off her feet for its final weeks, forcing the actress to miss taping of the season's final four ''Will & Grace'' episodes. Now, however, Messing's publicist tells People magazine: ''The baby's healthy, Debra's healthy. It's an extraordinary time for [Messing and Zelman]. Everything is great. They're thrilled.'' She also told the Associated Press that Messing would be back on her feet in time for this summer's shooting of next season's first episodes.
