Jay-Z goes great with just about everything

In homage to ''The Grey Album'' -- which put ''Black Album'' vocals over White Album music -- EW asks readers to dream up new combinations

When Jay-Z invited his Internet faithful to ''remix the s -- -'' out of his retirement disc, The Black Album, he probably didn't imagine his big-pimpin' rhymes would be set to Weezer's geek-rock anthems. But 1,001 (or so) amateur, irreverent, and utterly illegal remixes later -- including Danger Mouse's Beatles mash-up, The Grey Album, DJ N-Wee's Pavement combo, The Slack Album, and an even sillier mix with Metallica by DJ Cheap Cologne (The Double Black Album) -- that's exactly what he got. We've decided it's time for the once-clever phenomenon to change clothes and go. Before that happens, here's the next -- and last! -- logical, shark-jumping step: Jay-Z + everything! -- Lindsey West
