RUBS HER THE WRONG WAY Aguilera (performing at the AMAs in January 2003) cancels her tour

Christina Aguilera promised recently that her 29-date tour this summer with Chingy would be more ''raw'' than past shows, but as it turns out, it's her voice that's raw. The singer announced Thursday that she's scrapping the tour because she's strained her voice in the studio, and her doctors have ordered her not to sing for at least six weeks. Guess words CAN bring her down.

She still had enough voice left, however, to phone MTV's ''TRL'' and break the news to fans herself. In a separate statement, she said: ''I'm extremely disappointed to have to cancel this tour. I was looking forward to being on the road again and spending time with my fans.'' Tickets for the tour, which was to have started May 13 in Auburn, Wash., will be refunded at the point of purchase.
