Match (2004)

Details Opening Date: Apr 08, 2004; Lead Performances: Jane Adams, Frank Langella and Ray Liotta; Director: Nicholas Martin

The plot revolves around a married couple's visit to an aging choreographer's apartment in New York. There's a mystery, which falls flat. Ray Liotta (Goodfellas), in his Broadway debut, is Wooden as the husband; Jane Adams turns in a thin performance as his wife. But there is one reason this show should be seen: Frank Langella. As the scurrilous, obsessive (he saves his trimmed fingernails), and fragile choreographer, Langella's rich, physically nuanced, and often hilarious portrayal will stay with you long after the details of this play's ham-handed plot fade.
