Why Chad Michael Murray should play Nirvana's Kurt Cobain

WHY HIM? As ''Tree'''s Lucas, Murray is a smart, temperamental, blue-eyed loner from a broken family -- great training to play Cobain, the agonized voice of a generation. In an earlier role on ''Dawson's Creek,'' Murray fronted a band and hooked up with both Jen (Michelle Williams) and Joey (Katie Holmes). Plus, we're reliably informed that the chiseled Murray, who also played a musician in ''Freaky Friday,'' is totally hot.
