''Natural'' may not be a word one associates with Pamela Anderson. Nonetheless, she was naturalized on Wednesday. In a brief ceremony at a Los Angeles courthouse, the Canadian-born bombshell became a U.S. citizen. ''I felt it was important to become a U.S. citizen in order to vote in the United States,'' Anderson said in a statement. ''U.S. citizenship will allow me, in the future, to petition to bring my children's grandparents down to the United States to care for them once they become older.'' Fans from her homeland shouldn't feel abandoned, however. ''I have no intention of giving up my citizenship in Canada and am very proud to be a Canadian,'' she added.

Before she could follow in the footsteps of such Canucks-turned-Yanks as Michael J. Fox and Alex Trebek, the ''Stripperella'' star had to pass a 10-question citizenship test. ''She was terrific and she was very excited to study the civics and passed with flying colors,'' her lawyer, Barbara Federman, told Reuters. ''She enjoyed every minute of it.''
