There's no danger of this New Zealand rap-rock quintet taking itself too seriously. On their giddy debut -- a schizo blend of vintage AC/DC riffs, bratty early-Beasties humor, and Weezerish harmonies -- the cheeky Kiwis praise the mullet (''White Trash'') and fight for the right to be husky (''Fat & Proud''). While nothing else is as garage-rock cool as the hyperactive single ''Walkie Talkie Man,'' the album is still a refreshing schmack upside the head of an often overwrought genre.
