As hillbillies suspect, dark helicopters indeed menace rural skies, though in this witless romance the pilots are two brothers in the National Guard and the target their philandering stepfather, who, it happens, has knocked up a drive-thru cashier (Barrymore, goofy cute in Shirley Temple ringlets). One contrivance leads to another, and the nice stepson (Wilson, a dimmer David Schwimmer) falls for the burger babe over Yoo-Hoos and Lamaze. Does the film sound quirky? That it is.
