Angie Stone: Jack Chuck/Corbis Outline
Neo-soul diva Angie Stone has already shown she can ace a moody, lovelorn R&B ballad. Now, on third outing ''Stone Love,'' she's revealing another side. ''I wasn't afraid to include some hip-hop heads,'' says Stone, who tapped guests like Floetry, Missy Elliott, and the ''wonderful, wonderful'' Snoop Dogg (''He was actually the easiest person to work with out of everybody''). Stone also includes a pair of duets with her 19-year-old daughter, Diamond. ''It's definitely a younger, fresher album,'' she says. ''Even if it's a love song, you can have fun and dance off of it. Every song ministers to your spirit, and that's what I love.'' (July 6)
