With times so touchy that The WB had to postpone the Buffy finale, it may not be the right moment to recommend a movie about a bunch of high school misfits who shoot at, stab, and otherwise slay teachers and fellow students possessed by aliens. Still, I can't get too concerned about The Faculty, a Gen-Y variation on Invasion of the Body Snatchers, slickly written by Kevin Williamson and directed from way over the top by Robert Rodriguez. I only wish they'd done more with that big bad faculty, played by such ideal grown-ups as Salma Hayek, Famke Janssen, Bebe Neuwirth, Jon Stewart, and Piper Laurie. Carrie's mom as a killer teacher? In a Williamson flick, the homages never quit. B-
