Everyone's favorite anti-rapper works out his premillennial tension on ''Juxtapose,'' a collaborative effort à la 1996's ''Nearly God'' and ''Tricky Presents Grassroots.'' Guest producers (DMX pal Dame Grease, Cypress Hill's DJ Muggs) refocus Tricky's trademark murk: Folk and heavy metal guitars nuzzle up-front vocals, with breakneck U.K. rapper Street Dog's foremost among them. Subjects range from hip-hop ''realness'' (illusory) to ménages à trois (recommended). Slighter than usual, but by current rap standards, refreshing enough.
