APPRECIATION

Dearly beloved, we mourn the untimely passing of ''Sopranos'' moll Adriana La Cerva (played by Drea de Matteo), beloved fiancee, club manager, and would-be federal witness. The Jimmy Choos, the nails, the IBS -- Ade, there's so much we'll miss.

CONTROVERSIES

Bad news for ''Harry Potter'' and ''Shrek'' fans in China. The country is suspending imports of foreign movies for the month of July, in a move designed to protect the Chinese film industry from international competitors. Industry insiders say the ban will not only cost American distributors millions in theatrical sales but also allow time for pirated DVDs of the banned films to saturate the Chinese market.
