Ms. Bernhard says that as far as 1040 forms and passports go, her profession is ''entertainer.'' ''Provocatrice'' would be more like it. Her job is to sing, shimmy, and sneer, and she comes on like the downtown daughter of Don Rickles and Sally Bowles.
In I'm Still Here... Damn It!, a San Francisco concert shot for HBO by Oscar-winning cinematographer Haskell Wexler, Bernhard -- hugely pregnant, barely decent in a see-through gown -- sarcastically goofs on spiritualism, telephone technology, and the follies of other divas swishing through the celebrity culture. It must be said that there's no there ''Here''; few targets are riper for ridicule than supermodels or cosmetics advertising.
But honey, you don't admire Bernhard for her substance, you just want to soak up her sass, and if too much attitude is not enough, the disc offers an extra half hour, including barbs aimed at Babs, Liza, and Melanie Griffith.
