Absolut misappropriation? Actor Jason Lewis, 32, filed a complaint against Absolut Spirits Co. on May 27 in L.A. Superior Court for using his name and likeness without his permission. The ''Sex and the City'' actor alleges the liquor company created an ''Absolut Hunk'' drink based on his character's provocative ad from the HBO show's last season and used unapproved photographs to promote it. The liquor company had no comment.... On May 25, screen legend Elizabeth Taylor, 72, asked an L.A. judge to declare her the lawful owner of the Vincent van Gogh painting ''View of the Asylum and Chapel at Saint-Remy'' (1889), which her father bought at auction for $257,600 in 1963. The heirs of Margarete Mauthner, a Jew who fled Berlin in 1939, claim the painting was expropriated by Nazis during World War II and rightfully belongs to their family, and on Dec. 12, 2003, they demanded its return. In a press release, their lawyer called the Taylor lawsuit ''entirely non-meritorious.''... On May 13, Madonna, 45, settled a copyright lawsuit brought by Samuel Bourdin for an undisclosed sum. Bourdin had sued the singer on Sept. 26, 2003, in NYC, claiming she illegally appropriated images of his late father Guy Bourdin's photography in her video for ''Hollywood.''... On May 25, the family of Michael Jackson's accuser filed a claim for damages against the County of Los Angeles and its Department of Children & Family Services over the December leak of a confidential report that cast doubt on their allegations of child molestation against the pop star. On May 25, actress Lisa Marie, 35, filed a complaint against director Tim Burton, 45, claiming he conspired to deny her of her legal rights to his wealth after he ended their nine-year relationship. Burton's rep says ''the claims are baseless and will be resolved in Mr. Burton's favor.''... A NYC judge ruled that Blackground Records, the label of the late R&B artist Aaliyah, can sue Instinct Productions, the video production company that arranged for the singer's transportation on Aug. 25, 2001, when she was killed in a plane accident. Instinct did not return calls for comment.
