Dollars and Censors

It amazes me that stars think that because a film that matches their political views doesn't get marketed by a certain company that it is censorship. Jack Black was the only one interviewed in your article on ''Fahrenheit 9/11'' (news & notes) who understands that Disney is only thinking about the bottom line. While this movie may have important things to say, Michael Moore is not a martyr for censorship because Disney will not distribute his movie. Disney has become Moore's foil to use in garnering publicity and finding another distributor. This has less to do with the first amendment and more to do with a simple business decision. When will Hollywood realize that the first amendment is about so much more than getting a movie distributed? ANDREW DENNIS amd1972@hotmail.com Brownwood, Tex.

Remembering Randall

Tony Randall -- an American treasure, an old friend welcome in the living rooms of millions of every age -- dies and you give him a measly column and a half (News & Notes)?! Was your ''Partridge Family'' movie cast so important it couldn't have waited a week? Or was another dig at Danny Bonaduce more important than the death of a great humanitarian and devoted father? CORRECTION: John Cale, not Rufus Wainwright, sings ''Hallelujah'' in the first ''Shrek'' (Movies).
