''The Day After Tomorrow'''s Dennis Quaid, 50, popped the question to real estate agent and fellow Texan Kimberly Buffington, 35. It will be his third marriage, her first. No date has been set.... Former ''Baywatch''-er Gena Lee Nolin, 32, will tie the knot with NHL defenseman Cale Hulse, 30, this fall. This will be her second marriage, his first.

WEDDINGS

Former ''SNL'' star Molly Shannon, 39, wed artist Fritz Chesnut, 31, May 29 in Santa Barbara. The couple have an 8-month-old daughter, Stella Shannon Chesnut.... But ''Mannifer'' just doesn't have the same ring. Jennifer Lopez, 33, and Marc Anthony, 35, exchanged vows in a low-key ceremony June 5 in L.A. The marriage is her third, his second. Reps for both singers declined to comment.

EXPECTING

Actor Joe Piscopo, 52, and his wife, Kimberly, will welcome a new child this December. The tot will join siblings Alexandra, 5, and Michael, 20 months.

SPLITS

On June 4, the rock band Creed -- singer Scott Stapp, 30, guitarist Mark Tremonti, 30, and drummer Scott Phillips, 31 -- announced they were calling it quits after eight years and three albums together.

DEPARTURES

On June 2, Viacom Entertainment chair Jonathan Dolgen resigned from his post, effective July 15. His longtime Paramount chief, Sherry Lansing, will remain at the helm.

ARRESTS

''Family Ties'' cutie Brian Bonsall, 22, was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving May 28 in Boulder, Colo. The former child actor was released after posting $1,000 bail the same day and will be arraigned July 19. Bonsall did not return calls for comment.... On June 5, former ''Knight Rider'' and ''Baywatch'' star David Hasselhoff, 51, was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated in Encino, Calif. He was released on $15,000 bail and is set to appear in court July 1. Hasselhoff did not return calls for comment.

COURTS

On June 1, a Forsyth County, N.C., judge overruled a May 2002 civil judgment that required rapper Sean ''P. Diddy'' Combs, 34, to pay Cedrick Bobby Lemon $450,000. Lemon alleges that in June 1995, he was beaten by bodyguards hired by Combs to protect R&B artist Mary J. Blige at a concert in Winston-Salem, N.C. Lemon's lawyers did not return calls for comment.... On June 7, Mel Gibson's Icon Distribution Inc. filed a $40 million fraud and breach-of-contract lawsuit against the Regal Entertainment Group in Los Angeles Superior Court. Icon alleges that the theater chain reneged on a deal to pay the production company behind ''The Passion of the Christ'' 55 percent of the film's gross ticket sales, offering only 34 percent. Regal's reps had no comment.... ''The Fast and the Furious''' Michelle Rodriguez, 25, pleaded no contest to three misdemeanors (a hit and run, driving with a suspended license, and driving under the influence) stemming from two 2003 auto incidents in L.A. As part of her sentence, the starlet must spend 48 hours in jail, complete community service in a local morgue, and undergo a 30-day alcohol program.... ''NYPD Blue'''s Nicholas Turturro, 42, settled his lawsuit against Coldwell Banker for an undisclosed sum May 27. Turturro alleged that in 2002, Coldwell sold him a house in Tarzana, Calif., that was infested with toxic mold.... On June 1, Marvel Enterprises announced the resolution of its legal dispute with Sony Pictures Entertainment. As part of the settlement, the two companies created a joint venture to handle all ''Spider-Man'' movie merchandising rights.... On May 28, the LAPD officially dropped its preliminary investigation into accusations that Michael Jackson, 45, molested an unnamed child in the late '80s. Says an LAPD spokesman, there is ''no evidence that any crime was committed.'' The case is unrelated to Jackson's child-molestation case in Santa Barbara.
