The setup is simple in the Travel Channel's World Poker Tour -- people sit around a table covered with green felt playing Texas Hold 'Em. Through the magic of teeny-weeny cameras placed at each seat, you see the two cards each player is initially dealt. Then the gradual revealing of five more cards through rounds of betting provides built-in suspense.
Don't know how to play? No worries. For ''World Poker Tour,'' your expert hosts are Mike Sexton, dispenser of such folksy quips as ''I've seen better hands on a chicken,'' and the equally affable Vince Van Patten -- yes, scion of the Van Patten dynasty headed by Dick (''Eight Is Enough'') Van Patten and himself a star of late-period ''Baywatch'' (1996–97) as well as a 1983 cockfighting movie called ''Rooster: Spurs of Death!'' that I may have to hunt down on eBay.
