EMMY'S ANGELS ''Angels in America'' (starring nominees Pacino and Streep) garnered 21 nominations -- the most of any program

HBO's much-lauded miniseries ''Angels in America'' led nominations for the 2004 Emmy Awards, scoring 21 nods, including outstanding miniseries. Otherwise, voters honored many traditional Emmy favorites, with a few surprises, including multiple nods for newcomers ''Arrested Development,'' ''Deadwood,'' and ''Joan of Arcadia.'' Perennial award winner ''The Sopranos'' came in at second place with 20 nominations, including outstanding drama, while another mainstay, ''The West Wing,'' took third place with 12 nominations.
