Dwight's Used Records (2004)

This collection of Yoakam's previously released tribute recordings and guest performances is worth owning if only for his keening duet with bluegrass legend Ralph Stanley, ''Down Where the River Bends,'' and his swaggering Johnny Cash salute, ''Understand Your Man.'' But bolstered with new covers (including John Prine's ''Paradise,'' rendered with palpable grief), it's a must-have disc.
