C+

Details Release Date: Jul 09, 2004; Rated: PG-13; Length: 91 Minutes; Genre: Comedy; With: Will Ferrell; Distributor: Dreamworks Distribution L.L.C.

Ron, a talking stooge, will read whatever is placed in front of him, and he treats his own brain, too, as a kind of TelePrompTer. Will Ferrell does a variation on his specialty: the completely unjustified egomaniac. There are a few laughs, but Ron is a little too derivative -- he's Ted Baxter with a touch of Wild and Crazy Guy
